Waiver Funding

What is a Waiver?

The Medicaid Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver program was authorized under section 1915(c) of the Social Security Act. These programs "waive" the requirement for institutional care, allowing individuals to receive services in their homes and communities.

Wall provides services under Virginia’s three Developmental Disability (DD) Waivers.

Financial Criteria
