Built differently from the beginning.
When Jack Wall and Kamala Bauers founded Wall Residences in 1995, they made purposeful choices to center the people receiving and providing services. These founding values still guide our actions today.

Our People
We carefully hire the best people, who are experts at what they do and also deeply believe people with disabilities are important, valuable members of our communities. Our team includes a wide variety of professional knowledge, certifications, and experience but the common thread is a dedication to quality, consistency, respect, and professionalism.

In the early days, Jack and Kamala implemented a team-based management approach, creating a company culture that emphasized that “all are leaders.” Leadership principles from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People informed management practices. Today we have grown markedly, but these core values remain our solid foundation and are integral to everything we do.

Registered Nurse Care Management
Specialized Medical Expertise by RNCMs
RN Care Managers in each region provide medical expertise, oversight, advocacy, and education to advance the health and well-being of every person in a Wall Residences service.

Our Large Team is Here for You
We have multiple layers of service supervision and support with Program Managers, Coordinators, and our Quality Assurance team. Someone is available to you for urgent support at any hour, day or night. We also have professionals in various roles, including quality assurance, compliance, nurse care management, information technology, human resources, marketing, accounting, policy advocacy, payroll, and administrative roles. When you work with Wall, you can always count on having the resources needed.
Residential Providers
For Sponsored Residential and our hybrid Group Homes, we contract with highly qualified families to deliver services in their homes and communities. We are constantly seeking out couples and individuals with the best qualifications, nice homes with available space, and the highest motivation to include the individual they serve within their family and community life. Family Providers dedicate themselves to helping the individual in their care feel accepted and included as one of the family. Our services are personalized and well-staffed to meet the needs and preferences of each person referred.

C-CAPS Certified
Ensuring safety through rigorous abuse prevention education.
Wall is designated as a Certified Center for Abuse Prevention Services (C-CAPS) agency. This certification recognizes our Leadership for Empowerment and Abuse Prevention (LEAP) trainers empower individuals to recognize and prevent abuse. LEAP helps bridge a gap to ensure that people with disabilities receive adequate support on how to navigate a world full of different types of relationships.
