Support for Developmental Disabilities and Mental Illness
At Wall Residences, we specialize in providing individualized, community-based services for individuals with developmental disabilities and a co-occurring long-term mental illness. Our Sponsored Residential and Group Homes are especially well-suited for individuals transitioning back into the community from state or private facility placements.
Thoughtful Placement & Professional Support
We carefully consider each placement to ensure compatibility and the safety of everyone in the home. A Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) provides ongoing supervision and staff training tailored to the specific needs of each individual. When appropriate, additional in-service training is offered on mental health diagnoses, treatment approaches, and effective support strategies.
Emotional Support & Community Connection
All individuals in our care benefit from compassionate emotional support and opportunities for self-expression. We offer a variety of preventative mental health services, including structured “Circles of Support,” a relationship-building model that helps individuals connect with their communities through meaningful social engagement.
Family Provider Model
Our family Provider model offers a high level of consistency and continuity. Professional family Providers are trained to understand the unique causes and manifestations of each individual’s mental illness, allowing them to deliver highly personalized care in a stable, family home setting.
Shift-Based Group Homes
In some cases, the family Provider model is not appropriate due to the intensity of the illness. We offer agency shift-based group homes to meet this need. These homes provide a higher level of clinical support while maintaining a person-centered approach.
Access to Psychological Therapeutic Consultation
To ensure comprehensive care, we also offer psychological therapeutic consultation services through our sister company, Therapeutic Solutions. This partnership allows us to provide integrated mental health support as part of each individual’s overall care plan.
