Why Wall for CE - CC?

Community Engagement (CE) and Community Coaching (CC) by Wall Community Options help you acquire, retain, or improve skills needed for positive social behavior, interpersonal competence, greater independence, employability, and personal choice. Relationship building is central to these services.

Activity-Based Skill Building

CE and CC are community integration programs designed to optimize initiative, autonomy, and independence. In small groups or one-on-one, individuals work with a Direct Support Professional to build relationships in the community, using the community as a learning environment. Activities may include volunteering, classes, recreation, wellness programs, and more. Activities take place at naturally occurring times in varied settings, offering opportunities to interact with people without disabilities (other than those paid to provide support). We look for groups of people who are compatible and for the right Direct Support Professional to work with each individual or small group.

Community Engagement (CE)

Our CE program offers a diverse range of opportunities to foster community relationships. Services are offered in small groups with participants matched by affinity, needs, and goals. They are paired with a trained Direct Support Professional. Activity schedules are individualized based on personal preferences, routines, and support needs. Opportunities to participate in the larger community are endless.

Community Coaching (CC)

CC offers one-on-one support for individuals who need to build specific skills or overcome behavioral barriers that prevent participation in community engagement. This service is a bridge to the individual’s ability to participate in a more fully integrated CE setting.
