About the Provider

Tina has experience caring for family members who had various medical and mental health needs. She acquired her skillset through various jobs and training, starting her journey in 1997 as a CNA immediately after high school. She spent a decade working with Carilion, where she was trained as a phlebotomist, OR Tech, and covered shifts at the mental health rehab. She received her Medical Transcription Certification in 2004 and has also obtained credits toward degrees in Psychology and Social Work. Experience as a DSP led her to discover a love of watching individuals grow and thrive which ultimately led her to become a provider with Wall Residences.

Her home is a group home that offers 24-hour awake staff to fully support the individuals. Tina currently supports three Individuals, two men and a woman. Tina is excited about the opportunity to welcome a fourth individual into their active home. Tina shares her home with her husband. She has knowledgeable, well-trained staff that work alongside her to offer 24-hour support as needed.

Tina and the individuals in her care enjoy shopping, dining out, visiting the YMCA, and having movie and game nights. They enjoy visiting the farmers’ market, walking on local trails, and listening to live music. This home is adventurous, fun, on-the-go, and upbeat.

On the main level of the home there are four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is also a living room, dining room, kitchen, and large screened in porch off the main level. The basement offers a fifth bedroom and bathroom, a large recreation room, laundry area, and storage. The recreation room is perfect for movie nights, games, and dance parties. The home is located in a family friendly, safe neighborhood and the amenities of Roanoke and surrounding areas are easily accessible.

Since a very young age, Tina has had a deep passion for caring for others. Tina receives joy through supporting others in meeting their potential and living fulfilled lives. She is excited to offer the opportunity for a fourth individual to join their active family.
