About the Provider

Tammy comes to Wall Residences with over 30 years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg from 1993 until her retirement in 2023. Throughout her career, she supported individuals with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and mental health needs in a long-term care setting. Her responsibilities included assisting with daily living activities, providing personal hygiene support, taking vital signs, ensuring safety, and supporting individuals in social, recreational, and therapeutic programs.

Tammy is known for her calm and effective response in emergencies and her ability to provide comfort not just to the individuals she supported, but also to their families. She is hardworking, diligent, kind, and deeply dedicated to the well-being of others. She brings warmth, patience, and understanding into every relationship she builds. In her spare time, Tammy enjoys being active in her church community, traveling, reading, cooking, and going to the movies. These personal interests reflect her love of connection, her nurturing nature, and her appreciation for lifelong learning which brings her joy.

Her home is shared with her Pomeranian named Diamond and is a place of safety, comfort, and care. Tammy’s home is an environment where individuals can thrive with the right level of support and independence. The house is a newly renovated brick ranch-style home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, situated on a quiet cul-de-sac with a fenced yard.

Her philosophy is grounded in a lifetime of caregiving. What she finds most meaningful is forming real connections with the people she supports and helping them live fulfilling, self-directed lives. Now retired from a decades-long career in healthcare, Tammy is excited to offer more individualized care in a warm, home-based setting. She believes that every individual deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
