About the Provider

Sheila Wagner has been a provider with Wall Residences for over 25 years. She has a BS in Education. She taught inclusion in Special Education for a decade and also worked at the Central VA Training Center. Her husband, Steve, retired from Liberty University as a Project Manager, and has a degree in law enforcement. He now serves as a co-provider.

The Wagners are very involved in the community and invite their individuals to participate as they desire. Activities may include attending dance parties, weekly visits to the library to participate in craft activities, shopping, dining out, movies, and church. The Wagners look forward to exploring new activities and getting to know the interests of two new individuals.

About the Home

The Wagner home is spacious and inviting. They have a large yard with ponies and goats. The three-level home has been fully renovated to accommodate specific support needs. The main level offers a large family room with a fireplace open to the kitchen and dining room, a den, and a bathroom. The primary bedroom and an additional bathroom are also on the main level. Upstairs is a bedroom, full bathroom, recreation room, and closets/storage areas. The lower level of the home is accessible to the outside and the driveway. It offers four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a half bath, a den, an additional sitting area, and a dine-in kitchen. This level is fully wheelchair accessible. There is a large porch off the main level, as well as several relaxing outdoor seating areas that provide views of the sunset and the fenced-in animals. Sheila and Steve currently share their home with two adult females and would like to welcome two additional female residents.

The Wagners and their staff provide a loving and safe environment, where each person makes individual decisions regarding their meals, their involvement in the community, and participation in home activities. It is important to Sheila and Steve that each person is accepted, loved, and treated with dignity and respect. The Wagners look forward to supporting two new individuals in their home, where everyone is committed to helping them to feel comfortable and content.
