With over 30 years of experience in the human services field, Robertha brings a deep well of knowledge, compassion, and dedication to her work. Her professional journey began as a teacher in Jamaica and later in Prince William County, Virginia where she developed a strong foundation in education and caregiving. As the parent of a child with special needs for over three decades, she also carries extensive lived experience that shapes her understanding, empathy, and commitment to supporting individuals with diverse needs.

She has spent many years working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and now leads a team of skilled, trained caregivers who provide 24/7 support. Known for her warm, nurturing approach, she is deeply committed to creating meaningful, engaging life experiences for the individuals she supports. Robertha values community, connection, celebration, and inclusion both within the neighborhood and in the broader community and often facilitates family-style gatherings, outings, and special events. She supports and participates with residents in Special Olympics activities including bowling, cheerleading, swimming, track and field, softball, and soccer and often attend events such as Night to Shine prom and family style celebrations.

Robertha has also organized and led memorable trips for individuals including visits to Disney World, Virginia Beach, South Carolina beaches, Massanutten Resort, Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and destinations such as Nashville, Gatlinburg, and even the island of Jamaica. Her passion for adventure, community, and enriching daily life continues to shape a vibrant, supportive environment for the people she serves.

Her spacious and modern home is located in a peaceful, newly developed neighborhood. Designed with comfort and independence in mind, the home features private bedrooms for each individual offering a balance of personal space and community living. The bright, open communal areas create a welcoming environment for socializing, activities, and relaxation.

She values dignity, respect, and person-centered support by prioritizing meaningful experiences, community connection, and joy. Her group home service emphasizes independence, safety, and individualized support.
