About the provider

Rita has served as a Provider with Wall Residences since 2003 and has experience working as a CNA. She holds a degree in Christian Psychology and has participated in ministry mission work in Haiti as well as volunteer work at clothing and food banks in her local community. Rita is very connected with community members including other providers in the region and loves spending time with family. She is very active in her church and enjoys hosting parties and events at home. Rita shares her home with her husband Herb, and the two individuals they support, both males. They enjoy going to restaurants, local shops, and the movie theater together.

About the Home

Rita’s home sits on over 23 acres of beautiful, tranquil land and features a screened-in gazebo along with inviting front and back porches. Inside, the open floor plan is wheelchair accessible and offers a spacious dining area with 15-foot ceilings, adjacent to the kitchen. The main level includes three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a sunroom, and a deck. The lower level provides additional living space with three more bedrooms, another full bathroom, an office, and a second living room with its own kitchen. Conveniently located just ten minutes from Danville, VA, the property offers peaceful seclusion with easy access to major highways.

Rita has a talent for caring for those who seem to have given up on caring for themselves. She and her husband Herb have spent over two decades providing a stable home offering advocacy, encouragement, guidance, and care. Rita is known for meeting challenges with a determination to overcome them and has a gift for helping the individuals she serves create positive community around themselves.
