About the Provider

Pam Turner is a licensed RN with a specialty in long-term care and mental health and has experience as a medical trainer. Her husband Mark is a former EMT. Both have experience with non-ambulatory support, complex medical needs, and support with family visits/functions/etc. Their daughter is a backup worker for the service and owns a pool that they swim in during the summer. Pam and Mark are active within their church and community.

The couple owns Stonehurst Manor and enjoys hosting family and friends there for a variety of activities, dinners, special occasions, etc. They also host community events there such as Trunk-or-Treat and pictures with Santa. Pam and Mark also own a lake front cabin where they enjoy the outdoors, cookouts, and swimming.

Daily, the Turners and those they support in their service take walks on shaded, rural streets or on the nearby parkway. Pam and Mark currently support three individuals within their service, two females and one male, and look forward to welcoming a fourth. Once a year they plan a vacation for everyone to enjoy together. They frequent the local drive-in movie establishments, local eateries, and family and friend events.

About the Home

The Turners live in a Log Cabin style home with a covered front porch. There are four bedrooms upstairs and a fifth bedroom downstairs. There are three bathrooms upstairs and one downstairs. The first floor of the home also has a living room, dining room, and kitchen. The downstairs includes two separate living rooms (one being attached to the bedroom) and storage space. The Turners have chickens that they collect eggs from and have a pond and cabin on their property.

Their philosophy regarding the services they provide centers on providing holistic care to each person in their home. When asked about their philosophy they stated, “This involves us learning about the individual, so that we can identify and implement the unique supports that are necessary for growth, development, and fulfillment. The most meaningful part of being a provider is making the connection that allows the person to feel they are a valued part of our family.”
