About the Provider

Nancy has been a Direct Support Professional for nearly a decade and has more than 30 years of experience. Her background includes spending five years serving as a back‑up worker and supporting the ID/MH population across a wide range of settings including respite care, group homes, supportive apartment living, prevocational programs, ICF settings, and day programs. Nancy’s son, Zach, contributes additional strength to the home, bringing several years of experience as a back‑up worker before becoming a DSP and co‑provider at Wall Residences.

Nancy and Zach’s home is full of love and laughter. They are very involved with their church. Nancy, along with her pastor, developed a modified Bible study group for adults with ID called the "Sunshine Bible Study." Nancy has also served on council several times. They enjoy many different activities, such as photography, gardening, reading, sports, watching movies (classics and new), cooking, barbecuing, swimming at local pools in the summer, music, bowling, horseback riding with "Ride with Pride," exercising at the gym, and hiking. Nancy and Zach encourage individuals to be as independent as possible, which can include working in the community, joining a community-based program, and volunteering in the community. Everyone in the house enjoys travel. They have visited St. Augustine, Savannah, and Nashville, and look forward to more adventures.
