About the Provider

Michelle brings over 20 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health needs, medical complexities, and behavioral challenges. Since 2018, she has served as the Lead Behavior Specialist at an alternative K–12 school, where she conducts functional behavioral assessments, develops and monitors behavior intervention plans, provides crisis support, trains staff, and works closely with families to maintain a positive learning environment.

She currently works as a Nurse Aide assisting with daily living tasks, patient comfort, vital signs, and in-home safety. She many years as a DSP offering residential support, medication administration, advocacy, and skills training for individuals with IDD. Earlier in her career, Michelle worked as a Med Tech/Assistant in the Newport News Jail, supporting medical staff with direct care and documentation. She holds certifications in CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, and Phlebotomy.

Warm, nurturing, and family-oriented, Michelle takes pride in creating a welcoming home and cherishes time with her two adult children and small dog. She enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, shopping, church involvement, and spending time with loved ones. Her calm demeanor, compassion, and dedication make her a patient, reliable caregiver who values connection, community, and a balanced life.
