Lelia has been a provider with Wall Residences since 2015. She holds a BS and an MBA in Business Administration and Management, but her true passion has always been caregiving. Prior to becoming a sponsored residential provider, Lelia served as a foster parent for eight years and worked with children who had complex mental health needs, including Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, and ADHD. Lelia is a compassionate individual who prioritizes meeting the needs of others. She strives for excellence and encourages those around her to achieve their goals.

Lelia’s call to caregiving began in childhood when she was deeply impacted by witnessing a fourth-grade classmate suffer neglect by family. That experience taught her how powerless friends and neighbors can be in such situations and inspired her to make a difference. Reflecting on her journey, Lelia shared: “I knew then that if I could do anything to help someone who needed support with life skills and daily living, I would be available. The individuals in my care have made my life full, but most importantly, their lives have been enriched. We travel often, whether visiting friends in other states or enjoying our annual cruise. Caregiving can be a thankless job, but the achievements and joys my residents experience are more than enough to make me happy.”
