Kristen previously served as a Deputy Sheriff Sergeant and has prior experience as a Corrections Officer at Central Virginia Regional Jail. In these roles, she frequently supported individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health concerns, providing both hands‑on care and emotional support. She also participated in the Sheriff’s Department STAR Cadet Program, working with youth with developmental disabilities. Kristen enjoys spending time outdoors, being on the water as a boat owner, hosting summer barbecues, camping, game nights with friends and family, and making memories with her loved ones. She describes herself as fun‑loving, patient, family‑oriented, and outgoing. Her husband, Spencer, has many years of experience in construction specializing in low‑voltage electrical work and is family‑oriented, adventurous, and enjoys cars, four‑wheeling, and jet skiing.

After years of working in corrections and witnessing how people with disabilities were treated, Kristen realized she could do something better. So, she decided to be the change she wanted to see in the treatment of people with disabilities and became a Wall residences provider. Kristen believes that all people with all abilities should be treated with dignity and respect.
