About the Provider
Doug grew up in a military family and served in the United States Army as a Medical Specialist. Caring for individuals has been a part of his life for over 30 years in one form or another. Currently he is a Special Education teacher for post-grad students with Norfolk Public Schools. The program is designed to assist students with independent living skills and workplace readiness.
Doug describes himself as energetic, laid back, and fun loving. There are countless activities Doug likes to do such as going to the movies, making art, and attending music festivals and concerts. Doug loves watching movies at a local theater but mostly enjoys films in his backyard through the projector. Doug finds relaxion working around his yard, completing DIY projects, and drawing comics which is something he has done since he was young. When the weather permits, a day at the beach is always welcomed.

Doug lived in his family home since 1994. The home is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cape-cod style home located on a cul-de-sac in an established neighborhood in Norfolk. His back yard is fenced in and features a pergola and movie projector for enjoyment.
