Daynesha Wilson and her mother, Karen, live in Stephens City, Virginia. Daynesha has owned their home since June 2022. She grew up with a sibling with autism and serves as his Consumer-Directed provider. She has also volunteered with Special Olympics, assisting as a chaperone for the volleyball, basketball, and roller‑skating teams. Since July 2021, Daynesha has been employed by FEMA.

Karen Wilson brings over a decade of experience in the field, including work in England and Jamaica. Her background gives her valuable insight into how different societies address the needs of individuals with disabilities. Karen has worked as a CNA with ResCare and as a DSP with Heart Haven and Grafton.

Daynesha and Karen are a fun‑loving, compassionate mother‑daughter duo whose personalities perfectly complement one another. Karen is the adventurer, always eager to explore the outdoors and go hiking, while Daynesha is the thoughtful observer who prefers to enjoy a good book about someone else’s hiking journey. Together, they share a close bond grounded in joy, empathy, and a deep love for family.

As a pair, they enjoy spending time with their loved ones by hosting family game nights and movie nights, attending local community events, volunteering with Special Olympics, traveling, and participating in church activities together. Daynesha and Karen are the only ones living in their home, cultivating a warm and welcoming environment.
