About the Provider
A United States Air Force veteran with professional experience as a Crisis Manager and in law enforcement, David brings strong crisis intervention, communication, and leadership skills, all qualities that are invaluable in creating safe, structured, and supportive living environments. David began his career in human services through volunteer work in Kentucky, supporting families with older children who had developmental disabilities. During this nine-month experience, he assisted with daily living needs, provided companionship, and even performed carpentry work to create accessible housing environments which inspired him to pursue a professional path in supported living and sponsored residential care. Over the years, David has gained extensive hands-on experience including thirteen years of providing in-home care and support to an individual with Cerebral Palsy and six years assisting a family member with Alzheimer’s and dementia, strengthening his ability to deliver compassionate, person-centered support while maintaining respect, patience, and dignity.

David’s home is a three-level, three-bedroom, two and a half bath townhouses located in the heart of Harrisonburg, VA. The home is just a few miles from numerous grocery stores, restaurants, and retail locations such as Dollar Tree, Walmart, and Target. The area also offers many local parks. Harrisonburg Rescue Squad is a little over two miles away, and the nearest fire department is approximately three miles from the home.
